Painted in the frieze format of ancient iconographies, the imagery depicts a sequence of figures standing in line emulating today's supermarket queues. I envision this painting as a new old kind of iconography; in a sense like Egyptian iconography updated for today’s culture and society showing characteristic aspects of our lives.
