This discussion with art curator Maria Bilasevschi took place on the occasion of the exhibition "Prototipuri Repovestite" at the N. This vintage video invites you to step into the world of Romanian art from the '90s, showcasing Adrian Gor's first exhibition at the Grumazescu Antique Galleries in Iași, held on November 9, 1995. Professor Dragoș Pătrașcu offers a detailed analysis of the works of the young 16-year-old artist, who at the time was a student in the 10th grade, part of the graphics group at the Băncilă Art High School. With a profound understanding of the artistic milieu and a poignant historical perspective, Pătrașcu guides us through the dramatic world of Adrian's works, highlighting not only the technical mastery but also the sensitivity and emotion behind the drawings made with a nib in black ink. As Pătrașcu unveils the nuances of Adrian's works, he clarifies the intersection between light, shadow, and the inherent drama in the 10 drawings of the exhibition. This video emphasizes the shifts in Romanian culture, urging young artists to prioritize depth and diligence over superficial distractions. It provides a rare glimpse into a defining moment in the career of an emerging artist, captured during a period filled with dramatic changes and evolutions in Romanian art.

Adrian Gor, artistul canadian de origine română, a revenit în Iași cu o expoziție-eveniment despre natura în continuă evoluție a masculinității. „Prototipuri repovestite” a fost vernisată la Galeria Tonitza din Iași, chiar pe strada unde a avut loc prima expoziție solo în 1994.

Adrian Gor, a Canadian artist of Romanian heritage, has returned to Iasi to exhibit his recent works that delve into the evolving nature of masculinity. Entitled "Retold Prototypes," his exhibition was presented at the esteemed Tonitza Gallery on Lapusneanu Street in Iasi, Romania. This location holds special significance as it was the very street where his artistic journey began with his first solo exhibition back in 1994.
